30 minutes later we were seated at the bar and receiving phenomenal service (ask for Jade)!!!! The receptionist informed us they were booked solid, but gladly put us on a waiting list and said we would be sent a text when a table came open. We showed up for dinner around 5- without a reservation. NOTE: Make a reservation!!! This place is POPULAR! We definitely not stand in line for an hour to partake of the happy hour or early bird special. Tipping is a highly personal matter and the option of how much to tip should be left to the customer’s discretion. This is a practice that we strongly disagree with. I know some restaurants have an automatic charge for large groups but we were only 2 people. When we received our bill my husband said that there was an total of 20% gratuity automatically added on – 2% for kitchen staff and 18% for the wait staff. Once the steaks were cooked as requested they were delicious. They were very quick to respond to our request to have the steaks redone and said that they would comp us the appetizer of chicken. My husband’s steak was well done and mine was medium well. When the steaks were brought out both of them were not cooked as requested. I ordered the porcini mushroom crusted tenderloin and my husband ordered the 14 oz.
For the main course we both ordered one of the early bird steak specials. The chicken was thinly sliced and nicely cooked. It was a generous serving and it was delicious. It was a decent sized bowl of soup and it was very good. We each ordered 2 glasses of wine to start to ensure that we would be able to get the happy hour pricing.įor appetizers I had the traditional miso soup.
She was efficient and we were able to order everything that we wanted within the limited time frame. On happy hour most items are 50% off except for items that are marked as early bird specials. It is fairly casual but the regular menu prices do not reflect this. There are wooden tables and chairs and no tablecloths on the tables or fine china is used. The happy hour and early bird special is only available from the. They opened the doors and started seating guests at 5:25. They do not take reservations so we got in line at 4:30. We had the early bird special and happy hour on Sunday.
